A very ancient chakra, well documented in history. Situated between the eyebrows, it is connected to the pituitary and the hypothalamus within the brain.
This chakra is also connected with intuition, imagination and inspiration. Physically it affects the pituitary gland. This is the 'mastergland' of the entire body, controlling the endocrine system (all hormones and their 'knock-on' effects).
Imbalance
Dysfunction here may result in allergies, sinus problems, adenoid and eye/ear disorders, lack of energy and/or sex drive, nervous or hormonal disorders, skin conditions ie psoriasis, eczema, impetigo etc.. One of the functions of the hypothalamus is temperature control…. imbalance here may therefore result in hot/cold flushes and excessive perspiration.
Positive potential
The oils that I have chosen for this synergy provide an enormous boost of positive energy to this area, whilst incorporating a comforting sense of calm and clarity. The right path will be clear, and your intuition will again work. Follow your gut feelings/instincts on anything and everything in your daily routine and your life will take on a smoother less stressful quality. This chakra is often needy during the autumn and wintertime.
You may notice that the first flowers to appear in early spring are yellow (daffodils and primroses), purple (crocuses) and white (snowdrops). Nature is providing us with exactly the vibration that we need at this time of year.
