This chakra is all about true wisdom and understanding, a spiritual connection with a higher power. Also original ideas and intuition (see also third eye chakra).
It is connected with the cerebellum (which controls all nervous motor control, posture and balance), also the pineal gland. The pineal is said to be the gland, which 'points to the land of Spirit', and the bridge between mind, and matter. Included in its make-up are tiny crystals of calcium which are greatly affected by the environment i.e. heat/cold, light/dark. It produces melatonin which regulates the body’s rhythms and cycles. This is released at night, to induce sleep.
It is also said to be a source of free radicals (so it helps to slow the ageing process when functioning properly). Melatonin is reported to inhibit the growth of cancer cells, to boost the immune system and to balance sexual hormones
Physical symptoms of imbalance
Do you love the colours purple, violet or red? You are instinctivly drawn to them for a reason.
When the crown chakra is out of balance, symptoms that you may notice are the notorious SAD disorder (sunlight affected deficiency), hypertension, lethargy and tiredness, lack of co-ordination, and low sex-drive. Examples of dysfunction are Parkinson’s Disease, headaches, migraine, anxiety, insomnia, depression, nervous breakdown, feelings of isolation/alienation, and multiple personality disorders.

The oils that are in this synergy are carefully blended to promote a strong sense of inner peace and tranquillity, whilst encouraging the activity and maintenance of the brain itself hence promoting balance and harmony.
